Lexus Design Awards
For the last ten years the Lexus Design Awards International competition has called on emerging designers to push the boundaries of design, and each year this brings forward some of the worlds brightest minds, nurturing their vision to design for a better tomorrow.
Resident Co-Founders Scott Bridgens and Simon James are proud Lexus ambassadors and were part of the formation of a local New Zealand Lexus Design Awards competition in 2020.
Now in its fourth year, the NZ competition has grown exponentially to encompass over fifty diverse entries from student across four courses across AUT (Industrial Design, Creative Technologies) and the University of Auckland (Industrial Design, Design for the Natural Environment).
Scott, Simon and Resident Creative Director Tim Rundle mentored the students through two months of concept design and development, and the winners and runners up were announced at a well attended event last week in Auckland.
