Designer Jamie McLellan
Spar Junior takes the same iconic geometry of the Spar Floor light and scales it down into a cantilevered table light. The spun aluminium shade pivots on two axis, allowing light to be directed as desired.
Spar Junior takes inspiration from the mast arrangements of classic sailing boats. With a simple two-dimensional silhouette that relies on a tensioned electrical cable, and an adjustable shade that rotates 360 degrees allowing for the light-source to be directed accordingly.
Since graduating in 1999 with a BDes in Industrial Design, Jamie Mclellan has designed for manufacturers and consultancies in Australia, the United Kingdom, Continental Europe, Asia and America. Before estblishing his own practise in late 2006, Jamie was most recently employed as Senior Designer to well known Briton, Tom Dixon.
